The risk assessment process is designed to identify students who may be experiencing significant distress or posing a potential risk of harm. However, the assessment itself is only the beginning. What happens next is critical. This session focuses on the essential step of translating assessment findings into meaningful, individualized student support plans that address underlying needs while promoting safety and well-being for the entire school community.
Participants will explore best practices for developing effective student support plans that move beyond risk identification and toward practical, coordinated intervention. The session will highlight strategies for multidisciplinary collaboration, identifying appropriate supports, monitoring progress, and ensuring plans remain responsive as student needs evolve.
Attendees will leave with practical tools and frameworks they can apply within their own schools or districts to strengthen their assessment processes and ensure that students receive the support they need after concerns are identified.
