What does a strong lesson actually look like from beginning to end—and how can AI help us plan one more efficiently? In this interactive session, participants will experience a complete lesson as learners while we pause along the way to unpack the instructional decisions behind it. We’ll examine how all the pieces work together to create effective teaching and learning. With elementary learners in mind, we’ll focus on creating lessons that balance explicit instruction with active engagement, opportunities to process new learning, and frequent checks for understanding. Then, we’ll explore how AI can support the planning process by helping teachers work more efficiently without replacing the expertise, judgment, and human interaction that make great teaching possible.
