Getting students to think deeply requires more than asking the right question. It requires giving them strategies for making their thinking visible. In this interactive K–12 session, we’ll explore two high-impact instructional strategies: generating and defending claims and examining errors in reasoning. Participants will experience both strategies as learners and explore practical ways to adapt them across grade levels and content areas. We’ll also explore how AI can make planning for these kinds of learning experiences more efficient while keeping teacher expertise, instructional decision-making, and human interaction at the center. Participants will leave with ready-to-use strategies, examples, and AI prompts they can put to work right away.
