About me
Hi everyone! My name is Genesis Escalon, and I am a regional school-based mental health and prevention professional with BOCES. I grew up in the San Luis Valley and am passionate about helping students, educators, staff, and community members. I have seven years of experience in education and four years of experience in suicide prevention, and I provide educational training to support mental health and wellness.
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is a 45-minute suicide prevention training that teaches participants how to recognize warning signs, ask directly about suicide, and connect someone to appropriate help. The training provides practical skills and confidence to respond when someone may be at risk.
