About me
Dr. Loraine Glidewell is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Adams State University. Her work focuses on the intersection of rural education, STEM education, and teacher preparation. She is particularly interested in how rural places serve as rich contexts for science teaching and learning and how those contexts can inform and inspire new possibilities for preparing future teachers. Before earning her PhD in Education from the University of Colorado Boulder, she taught middle school science in rural Colorado, where her students inspired her commitment to educational equity and opportunity in rural schools.
