Dr. Victor Hugo Minces is a research scientist at University of California, San Diego whose work bridges neuroscience, music, and education. Trained in both fine arts and physics at the University of Buenos Aires, he earned his Ph.D. in Computational Neurobiology and has published research on brain function, music cognition, and the role of music in science education. Dr. Minces is the founder and director of Listening to Waves, an innovative project that engages young people in exploring the science of music through workshops and technology. His work has been featured by the BBC, and he has collaborated with the San Diego Symphony to bring the science of sound and music to broad audiences. Through both his research and public art, Dr. Minces creates engaging experiences that connect science, creativity, and learning.
